5 MEDALS FOR MORRISON SCOTCH WHISKY DISTILLERS AT THE INTERNATIONAL WINE AND SPIRIT COMPETITION

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded 5 medals at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition.

Each whisky in our Mac-Talla range, which showcases the depth and variety of Islay, received an accolade. Mac-Talla Mara, our cask strength expression was awarded gold with a score of 95. Mac-Talla Terra and 15-year-old Mac-Talla Strata both won silver awards with a score of 94 each.

Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers have recently re-launched the historic Perthshire whisky brand “Old Perth”. Old Perth brings together the finest sherry matured malt whisky from a selection of distilleries in the Glenlivet Region of Speyside. The Cask Strength expression, bottled at 58.6% ABV also received a silver award at the competition. Earlier this year, Old Perth Original received a gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge.

Bruadar, our carefully crafted Single Malt Scotch Whisky Liqueur with honey and sloe berries, was awarded silver in the competition’s liqueur category. This was the third medal for Bruadar in 2021, having also been awarded silver at the International Spirits Challenge and gold at the World Liqueur Awards.

Douglas Crawford, Managing Director, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, said: “Like so many other businesses, the past year has brought many unexpected challenges for our team, who have worked hard to successfully develop and launch our new brands. Our focus has always been on delivering high-quality liquid, so it is fantastic to see these efforts recognised on an international level.”

The team at Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers would like to thank all of our customers and distributors for their on-going support during this exciting period of development for our company.
